Smoke & Ashes released!

Well folks, we've finally released our second record, Smoke & Ashes on Rounder Records. We recorded it up at Guilford Sound in Guilford, VT in January of 2018. We were so thrilled to have the amazing Dave Sinko on board for this project. He was invaluable in the studio as engineer and did a fantastic job with mixing each track to perfection. We also had the privilege of working with the incredible Bridget Kearney (of Lake Street Dive) as our producer. She helped get the best out of us and shaped the overall sonic landscape of this record. The album design was done by a good pal of ours, Taylor Ashton, and we think he did a bang up job of giving this new album an aesthetic that feels authentic and reflective of the music.
We're so excited to get this music out into the world as we feel it captures the fresh sound we've been working into our performances for the past couple years. Hope you all enjoy!
Gabe Gets His Dream Banjo

Gabe Hirshfeld, also known as the Godfather of Banjo, has recently procured his dream banjo, a 1931 Gibson Mastertone. He had his eye on this one for a while, what with its original tone ring, so all he had to do was sell everything he owned and take a vow to eat only ramen for the rest of his life. The sound of this banjo is akin to the sound of a supernova, nay the sound of ten million birds taking off in flight simultaneously.
